The Pearson Air Museum is located right on Pearson Field, one of the nation’s oldest operating airfields. At Pearson you will learn about all the aviation milestones that have occurred at this small Vancouver field since 1905. Step into our pre-WW II Army Air Corps hangars and immerse yourself in Pacific Northwest aviation history!
At Pearson Air Museum you'll experience the "Golden Age of Aviation," when flying was new to the world and those who flew in open cockpit aircraft, with the wind in their faces, were the ultimate daredevils! Enter the museum and you enter a world of wild barnstormers, experimental aircraft, and aces of World War I and II.

May 14th, 2008
It's hard to believe, especially with her schedule, but we have been able to entice Amelia Earhart to Pearson on May 14. Dr. Anne Birney, a noted re-enactor who has performed for the Smithsonian, Dayton Aviation National Historic Park and the Space Grant Consortium Directors, will perform three times, once at 8:30 for the Evergreen School District, at 10:30 for Vancouver School District students and once at 1:30 for adults. Dr. Birney, as Amelia, will tell how she became involved in aviation and about her trans-Atlantic flights. She will then take questions, first as Amelia and then as the scholar.
This performance made possible by a grant from Humanities Washington.
