After School Aerospace Learning
Pearson Air Museum, in partnership with the Centers for Airway Science offers an exciting aerospace based curriculum for kids designed to inspire extracurricular learning of applied math, science, engineering and computer technology and it's absolutely free! Classes take place at Pearson Air Museum two afternoons a week and last for an hour. Students take part in a number of activities including using flight simulators and building radio controlled aircraft.
We are currently accepting applications for this two year program. Applications can be obtained at the museum or by going on line at www.airwayscience.org
Reading for Toddlers
Do you have a 3-5 year old who loves planes? Are you looking for a fun activity to share with your toddler? Beginning April 5th, you can bring your child to the Pearson Air Museum the first Saturday of every month (except July) at 11am for a one hour program. Explore the museum with your toddler on an age appropriate tour, enjoy a reading of an airplane story under the wings of the historic planes, and create an entertaining craft project. Admission to the museum is free for toddlers!

Camp Meets Tuesday - Saturday from 9pm - 4pm!
- Learn to fly on flight simulators and then fly a real plane!!
- Fly radio controlled model airplanes!
- Take a behind the scenes tour of the Portland International Airport!
- Bring the parents Saturday to watch you fly a real plane for graduation!!

The Pearson Air Museum is very proud to announce that museum manager Bill Alley has just finished writing a book on Pearson Field entitled:
Pearson Field: Pioneering Aviation in Vancouver and Portland.
Bill's book has been published by Arcadia Publishing and is for sale in our gift shop. The book contains over 200 photos, many from the museum's very own archives. The book retails for $19.95, however, as always, museum members receive 15% off the cover price!

At Pearson your child can enjoy their special day with the many interactive exhibits that are available, watch aviation movies in our theatre, have a paper airplane contest, win prizes out of our gift shop, enjoy our flight simulators or even take a flight in a real airplane! As a souvenir of your visit have your childs picture taken in the cockpit of a real vintage bi-plane sporting a flight helmet, goggles and scarf!
